Breaking News: Strong Earthquakes Strike Turkey, Buildings Collapse
A powerful 7.8 magnitude earthquake rocked Turkey, followed by another strong quake that was felt in several provinces in the region. Reports indicate that the earthquakes resulted in the collapse of several buildings.
According to the US Geological Survey, the epicenter of the first quake was located around 33 km (20 miles) from Gaziantep and 26 km (16 miles) from the town of Nurdagi. The quake was centered at a depth of 18 km (11 miles) deep.
