MUMBAI: A 29-year-old doctor ended her life on Thursday evening allegedly by injecting some unknown substance in her hand, at her Worli residence. The deceased was pursuing her MD Anesthesia and had some study related issues, said police.
The Worli police have registered an accidental death case and are probing it. No suicide note was found. Police sources said that the doctor was in her final year of Anesthesia at KEM hospital’s college and had some study related issues.
Her mother, who is additionally a doctor, returned home on Thursday and inquired about her daughter. The domestic said she was in her room. When the mother went there, she found her daughter lying unconscious. The victim was rushed to the BYL Nair Hospital where she was declared dead. The Worli police received a call from the hospital and reached there. The deceased’s father is an engineer. “There is not any evil ,” said a senior policeman . Investigators said that what substance she injected, in her hand, would be clear just one occasion they get the ultimate post mortem report.
In February this year, A 28-year-old doctor, Bhimsandesh Tupe, studying first year Anesthesia, died by suicide allegedly by injecting some unidentified substance. When his colleagues broke open the door, they found him lying within the room. Tupe was rushed to the Nair hospital where he was declared dead. The Agripada police had registered an accidental death.
